Mandatory Physical Standards:

  • Height: Minimum 157 cms for males, 152 cms for females. (Relaxations apply for specific hilly/tribal regions).
  • Chest: Well proportioned with a minimum expansion of 05 cm.
  • Visual Standards: Navik GD: 6/6 & 6/9. Navik DB: 6/36. Yantrik: 6/24. Hygienist: 6/60 (without glasses). Glasses not allowed for GD branch.

Mode of Selection Process

The selection process involves four rigorous stages:

  • Stage-I (Computer Based Online Exam): A 100-mark objective test. Bilingual (Hindi/English). No negative marking.
  • Stage-II (At ICG Recruitment Centres): Includes Physical Fitness Test (PFT – 1.6km run, squats, push-ups), Assessment & Adaptability Test, meticulous Document Verification, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
  • Stage-III (At INS Chilka): Final Document Verification, Pre-Enrolment Medicals, and submission of Police Verification.
  • Stage-IV: Verification of original documents with respective Boards/Universities.
